Medicare Advantage Plans are often referred to as "All In One" plans because they include many additional benefits such as dental, vision, prescription drugs, hearing, an over the counter allowance and in certain zip codes a "Give Back" benefit to your monthly Social Security benefit.

Medicare Care Supplement Plans are also referred to as "Medigap" plans and provide medical care benefits that help in covering the remaining 20% of your medical care costs that Original Medicare generally doesn't cover. The various Supplement Plans are referenced by letter designations such as Plan G, Plan A etc.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans are available in several formats. First, Part D drug coverage can be in the form of a "Stand Alone" drug plan that can companion with Medicare Supplement Plans. Additionally, Part D drug coverage is also an integral component that is included in many Medicare Advantage Plans.

If you are Turning 65, it is important for you to know that your Medicare will generally be "Guaranteed Issue". Which means that there is no medical underwriting for preexisting medical conditions. Your "Initial Enrollment Period" begins three (3) months before your birth month and ends three (3) months after your birth month.

If you've recently moved to South Carolina, I welcome you and wish you a Happy Retirement!
